Arlington, TX (April 29, 2024 at 08:55 AM) - The Dallas Cowboys have re-signed running back Ezekiel Elliott to a multi-year deal, NFL Network Insiders Ian Rapoport and Tom Pelissero reported on Monday morning.
Elliott, a three-time Pro Bowler, returns to the Cowboys after spending the 2023 season with the New England Patriots. During his time in Foxborough, Elliott rushed for 642 yards and three touchdowns on 184 carries - his lowest totals since his rookie year in 2016.
The Cowboys and Elliott have yet to disclose the financial terms of his new contract, but it is expected to be a significant investment for Dallas.
Elliott's return to the Cowboys is a major boost for their offense, which struggled to find consistency in the running game last season. The former Ohio State star will be expected to play a key role in the Cowboys' offense in 2024 and beyond.
